Decision support for local authorities in waste management
Project leader for the CMA: Gilles GUERASSIMOFF
The CMA supported the company E3D Environnement, based in Aix en Provence and specialising in water, sanitation, waste and energy engineering, in a project to create a new generation of eco-responsible services to promote local waste prevention and interactivity between supply and demand, the user and the community.
The programming law relating to the implementation of the Grenelle Environment Forum provides for the introduction of an incentive fee in 2014. Local authorities must therefore face not only a technical problem but also the problem of the acceptability of this new fee proportional to the volume of waste produced by households.
The decision support system developed in this collaboration should enable local authorities to lead their citizens towards a sustainable reduction and better management of their household waste by providing personalised support to users of the service.
The project was completed in 2013 and resulted in the development of the GD6D platform, which allows for the implementation of membership and monitoring of citizens.
